About me
Hey, I'm Lucie!
Quirky? Check. Fun? Absolutely. Obsessed with dogs? Oh, you better believe it.
I've been crazy about canines for as long as I can remember. I'm a proud mum to four fur babies and two human ones, and when I'm not behind the camera capturing the unique spirit of your pets, I'm running my dog grooming business. Yep, I spend some of my days detangling tails, trimming ears, and earning the trust of even the most nervous pups.
I am a big rescue supporter and have been involved in rescue all of my adult life, having helped run a rescue, fostered and volunteered and I now photograph dogs to help them find homes, for one of our local rescues. All that hands on experience means I've got a good understanding of doggy behaviour and of course style — so when it's time for a photoshoot, I know exactly how to help your dog relax and let their true personality and looks shine.
I am a spiritual soul and very much believe that our animals come into our lives for a reason. They are here to not only share our journey but to teach us, guide us and help us grow and evolve as we navigate this human experience here on the earth plane. I have trained recently as an Animal Communicator and am also Reiki Level 2 trained, both of which have deepened my understanding of the incredible connection we share with our animals. For me, pet photography is so much more than simply taking a beautiful photograph. It's about creating a genuine soul to soul connection with the animal in front of my lens. That connection is everything to me. It's what allows me to see beyond their appearance, to capture their personality, their spirit and those little expressions that make them so wonderfully unique. I often say that if I couldn't experience that connection, if I were simply photographing animals from a distance or having someone else work the animal for me, without truly engaging with them, I probably wouldn't be a pet photographer at all! Thats how much it means to me. It's why I love the intimacy of studio portraiture, where there are no distractions, just soft, gentle music playing, gentle lighting, relaxed parents and just me, your pet, my camera and that beautiful connnection. For me the magic isn't just in the photography. Its in the connection that makes the photograph possible.

The magic is in their eyes
Capturing the eyes is everything to me. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and that couldn't be truer when it comes to our beloved pets. It's that eye contact that draws you in and makes the portrait feel alive, turning a simple image into a lasting memory.
That bond though…
During a full session I am always more than happy to have you jump in for some portraits with your best furry friend. And I totally hear you when you say you don't like to be in front of the camera — don't worry, I have plenty of options up my sleeve so you don't have to be full on smiling at the camera.
