About Lucie

More about me...

I don’t just photograph pets for a living! I have a dog-grooming business too and my work there – from teasing tangles out of tails and gently clipping silky-soft ears to gaining the trust required to cut a nervous dog’s claws – has helped me to develop a deeper understanding of canine behaviour. I also have four dogs of my own, two of them rescue dogs, so I have a lot of experience with a variety of doggy personalities and behaviour quirks! In the studio, this enables me to get that all-important special connection with your dog, allowing them to relax and be themselves in front of the camera.

I firmly believe that a photo session should be fun, with lots of positive rewards, so that your pet has a truly enjoyable experience. My studio is a treasure trove for pets, with a variety of different treats to try and toys on hand to play with. It’s my job to observe them having fun and to use my natural eye for what looks beautiful to get a selection of captivating photographs for you to choose from afterwards. I especially love capturing that intense look that they give you when they are waiting for their food bowl to go down or for their toy to be thrown, as that is often where their personality really shines through.
